How to Create a WhatsApp QR Code

Let anyone message you on WhatsApp with a single scan — no number sharing needed.

What is a WhatsApp QR Code?

A WhatsApp QR code is a scannable image that opens WhatsApp directly on the scanner's phone, with your number and a pre-filled message already loaded. Instead of sharing your phone number publicly, you share a QR code — making it ideal for business cards, shop windows, social media profiles, and events.

With Create Your QR, your WhatsApp QR code gets its own link (e.g. create-your-qr.web.app/q/your-id) that you can share anywhere — even where images cannot be posted.

Step-by-Step: Create Your WhatsApp QR Code

1
Sign in for free

Go to create-your-qr.web.app and sign in with your Google account. No password needed — one click and you're in.

2
Click the WhatsApp QR tab

After sign-in, switch to the WhatsApp QR tab in the app. You'll see a form to set up your QR card.

3
Enter your details

Fill in your display name, WhatsApp phone number (with country code, e.g. +91 for India), and the pre-filled message visitors will see when they scan.

4
Optionally enable PIN protection (Pro)

Set a 4-digit PIN so only people you trust can reach you. Visitors who scan your QR will need to enter the PIN before seeing your WhatsApp link.

5
Generate and share

Click Create QR. Your QR code image is ready — download it as PNG, print it, or share the link. Every scan is counted so you can track interest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my phone number hidden?
No — when someone scans your QR and opens WhatsApp, they will see your number inside WhatsApp. The QR code itself does not display your number on the landing page, but WhatsApp requires a number to open a chat.

Does the QR code expire?
Free QR codes are active as long as your account is active. Pro QR codes are active for the duration of your Pro subscription.

Can I edit the QR code after creating it?
Yes. You can update your name, message, and PIN at any time. The QR code link stays the same.

What country codes are supported?
Any country code supported by WhatsApp. For India, use +91 before your 10-digit number.
